Former Newcastle United striker Michael Owen said on the Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on BT Sport 1 on Saturday morning (October 31, 2015) that West Ham United could finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.
"It could be West Ham," said Owen when discussing who could end up fourth. "They have had a great start to the season, they are looking very strong, and they have played a lot of the big teams, stronger teams already, and beat them."
Owen made the comments before West Ham’s Premier League game against Watford away from home on Saturday afternoon.
The Hammers lost the match 2-0 at Vicarage Road and are now sixth in the league table with 20 points from 11 matches.
Slaven Bilic’s side are just a point behind fourth-place Manchester United, and they could end up in the Champions League places this campaign.
It will not be easy, though, with Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Chelsea all aiming for that prized fourth spot.
Even Southampton and Everton will fancy their chances of sneaking into the top four this season.
For West Ham to finish fourth, they need to maintain their current form for the rest of the season.
Will the Hammers be able to do that?
