Ian Holloway predicts Sheffield Wednesday v Brighton

Sheffield Wednesday will face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

Former Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway has predicted on Skysports.com that Tuesday evening’s Championship game between Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton & Hove Albion at Hillsborough will end in a 1-1 draw.

“Are Brighton the next invincibles?” Holloway wrote on Skysports.com. “Probably not, as it's impossible to go through a season in this league unbeaten - the challenge is just too great, but they can keep their run going on Tuesday.”

Wednesday are eighth in the Championship table at the moment with 23 points from 14 matches, just a point behind sixth-place Birmingham City.

Meanwhile, Brighton are currently at the top of the standings with 30 points from 14 games, two points clear of second-place Hull City.

The Owls will head into Tuesday evening’s match on the back of a 1-1 draw with Reading away from home, while the Seagulls defeated Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the City Ground on Saturday.

Holloway has also praised Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan, who joined the South Yorkshire club in the summer transfer window.

“Barry Bannan has broken into the team recently and he's made a difference,” the former Crystal Palace man wrote on Skysports.com. “He’s one of my favourite ever players; he's a genius.

“The more he has the ball the better he is. I think he's a good shout to score a free-kick in this one too. Bang, right in the top corner!”

Bannan has created 16 chances in nine Championship appearances so far this season.

The former Aston Villa and Palace midfielder has a pass accuracy of 80% and a shot accuracy of 13%.
