Chelsea legend Frank Lampard said on the Live Monday Night Football show on Sky Sports 1 on Monday evening that he has been impressed with Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino has been in charge of Tottenham since the summer of 2014 and has done a remarkable job at White Hart Lane so far.
Former Espanyol coach Pochettino was also successful during his spell at Southampton.
Ex-West Ham United and Chelsea midfielder Lampard is impressed with the Tottenham boss and said on the Live Monday Night Football show on Sky Sports 1 on Monday evening: “I really like him.
“From the moment he came over to the Premier League at Southampton… His teams have energy and flair, and he is never scared to bring some young players into the team and take a chance.”
Lampard also gave his verdict on the current Tottenham squad and said: “It is the most exciting team I think from the days of Harry Redknapp when he had some flying wingers and some pace.”
Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 20 points from 11 matches, just a point behind fourth-place Manchester United.
With Chelsea struggling for points and for form, there is a good chance that Spurs could sneak into the top four.
It will not be easy, though, as the North London outfit will need to maintain their current run of form.
