Football League interest mounting in prolific Dulwich Hamlet midfielder Dan Sweeney

HITC Sport understands that clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two are keen on the talented 21-year-old.

HITC Sport understands Dulwich Hamlet are bracing themselves to lose their star midfielder Dan Sweeney, who has been with the club just a matter of weeks.

The 21-year-old was snapped up by the Ryman Premier League leaders at the start of October from rivals Kingstonian, and he has performed brilliantly since his arrival.

The attacking midfielder has grabbed six goals in six games and now HITC Sport understands that up to a dozen Football League clubs are now readying offers to land the player.

Dulwich will be looking for a decent deal, although Sweeney is on non-contract terms, so the clubs watching him know they can land him for a relatively small sum.

HITC Sport understands that clubs from the Championship down to League Two are all keen on Sweeney, who began his career with AFC Wimbledon.

The likes of Nottingham Forest, Charlton Athletic, Birmingham City, MK Dons, Gillingham and Leyton Orient are among the clubs understood to be keen on Sweeney.
