Former Sunderland midfielder Don Hutchison has stated on social networking site Twitter that Jose Mourinho should try to take Newcastle United back to the top of English football.
Mourinho is in charge Chelsea at the moment, but he is under a lot of pressure due to the team’s poor form and results this season.
Hutchison has stated that if the Portuguese is sacked by the Blues, then he should become the new boss of Newcastle and try to take them back to the top of English football just like Kevin Keegan did.
Come on Jose test yourself!!!!! if you get biffed from Chelsea. Do a Keegan and try and take Newcastle to the top. #doit— Don Hutchison (@donhutch4) November 2, 2015
During his first spell as Newcastle manager from 1992 to 1997, Keegan won the Football League Division One in 1993 and guided the team to second-place finishes in the Premier League in 1996 and 1997.
Nowadays the Magpies are just an also-ran in the Premier League and are actually struggling to preserve their top-flight status at the moment.
