Dele Alli was Tottenham's star man against Aston Villa.
Dele Alli has told Tottenham's official Twitter account that he was pleased to put on a show for the White Hart Lane crowd against Aston Villa.
Goals from Mousa Dembele, Alli himself and striker Harry Kane gave Spurs the win over bottom club Villa, meaning Tottenham move up to fifth place in the Premier League table - and are just one point behind fourth placed Manchester United.
The star man on the night was midfielder Alli, who was even given the man of the match award by Sky Sports after the game as the teenager again showed his class.
The 19-year-old midfielder has been sensational since joining up with Spurs in the summer, having spent the second half of last season on loan with former club MK Dons.
Now though, Alli is the driving force in the Tottenham midfield, and he underlined his England international prospects with another superb performance against Villa.
Speaking after the game, Alli told the club's official Twitter account that he was happy to put on a great display in front of the Spurs fans, who he says have made him feel welcome ever since his arrival.

With a string of fine displays, Alli is establishing himself as one of the top young prospects in English football, and Spurs manager Pochettino is certainly lucky to have him in what has become a vibrant team full of potential at White Hart Lane - and now Alli faces the biggest test of his Spurs career so far against North London rivals Arsenal on Sunday.
