Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Danny Murphy said on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning that Arsenal cannot afford to start slowly against Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening.
Arsenal will face German giants Bayern in the Champions League Group F at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
The home team will head into the game as favourites, and former Tottenham midfielder Murphy believes that the Gunners cannot make a slow start.
"They can’t start as slowly as they did at the weekend because the game could be gone," said Murphy on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning.
"They have to be on it from minute one because Munich are going to be so up for that game."
Arsenal will head into Wednesday evening’s match on the back of a 3-0 victory over Swansea City away from home at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League.
Arsene Wenger’s side scored all three of their goals in the second half, although it has to be said that they deserved the three points.
A win for the North London outfit is not impossible, but they simply cannot afford to concede an early goal at the Allianz Arena.
