Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has dismissed reporting linking Theo Walcott from Barcelona to Arsenal.
Theo Walcott has been in superb form this season for Arsenal, carrying on where he left off at the end of last year.
An injury will keep him out of the North London derby at the weekend, picking up a calf strain against Sheffield Wednesday a week ago.
Walcott has earned a recall to the England squad and is enjoying leading the line up front, combining with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal fans should not be too worried though, not according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
He was asked about the speculation via his weekly SkySports column, and offered a swift rebuttal.
Balague said: "This one is pretty simple to answer - no, the Walcott to Barcelona rumours are complete rubbish."
Arsenal are under no pressure with Walcott either. The BBC reported in late July that he had signed a four-year contract extension, worth £140,000 per week.
He is finally getting a chance to play up front at Arsenal - and at Barcelona he would surely be demoted to backing up Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar, and even if he was tempted to leave, from a playing perspective staying put in North London where he is familiar and playing better than ever.
