Almost seven months have passed since Aston Villa last visited Tottenham Hotspur on April 11.
That day a Tim Sherwood managed Villa side went on to record a 1-0 win at White Hart Lane, through a goal from Christian Benteke.
It was a victory which Sherwood celebrated with real delight, getting one over on the Spurs chairman Daniel Levy who had decided not to make him a full time head coach after he had earlier been appointed midway through the 2013/14 season.
There was even a post match embrace for the man who replaced him, Mauricio Pochettino.
Christian Benteke was the matchwinner back in April, and he is seen below celebrating with Tom Cleverley closely behind him. Neither player are still at Aston Villa, as he was sold to Liverpool for a huge fee, while Cleverley decided to join Everton at the end of the season after his loan deal expired.
Villa had a man sent off that day too, with midfielder Carlos Sanchez dismissed for picking up two bookings.
Two players who will not be featuring for Spurs this evening include two of the defensive starters that day. Vlad Chiriches has been sold to Napoli, while Federico Fazio is out of favour this season. Fazio was the man beaten by Benteke for the decisive goal.
