Ross Barkley reacts on Twitter to 6-2 win, Anichebe messages Everton striker

Arouna Kone

The West Brom forward congratulated Everton's hat-trick hero after they beat Sunderland 6-2.

Ross Barkley was delighted to get back to winning ways as Everton beat Sunderland 6-2 on Sunday afternoon.

The Toffees raced into a 2-0 lead within half an hour and then added four more after Sunderland pulled the score back to 2-2.

Barkley was heavily involved in the final third once again and hailed his side's 'quality team performance.'

Indeed, the England midfielder took to Twitter with the following message after Everton's comprehensive victory:

Meanwhile, former Everton and current West Brom striker Victor Anichebe also took to social media after Sunderland's thrashing.

And the Baggies forward congratulated hat-trick hero on the day Arouna Kone, who starred for the Toffees in grabbing his first hat-trick in the Premier League.

Kone scored more single-handedly than West Brom managed against Leicester City on Saturday, as Tony Pulis's men succumbed to a 3-2 defeat to the Foxes despite having taken the lead.

But there was no chance of such a comeback win for Sunderland, despite the Black Cats leveling the scores briefly. Everton tore into Sam Allardyce's men - and West Brom's Anichebe would have been proud.
