The Saints boss's reaction was unusually positive after his side's 2-0 win at St Mary's.
Fantastic 1st half. Great football! 2nd was harder but also because of our opponent's reaction. pic.twitter.com/VvBk7heYm6— Ronald Koeman (@RonaldKoeman) November 1, 2015
Southampton head coach Ronald Koeman is usually a very measured man.
Often, after Southampton wins, the Dutchman will insist his side could have played better and express his concern for areas they need to improve.
After the South Coast side's 2-0 win over Bournemouth, though, Koeman was delighted. And that in itself says a lot about their performance. Indeed, during their first-half display against the Cherries, Koeman felt Southampton were 'fantastic.' He said so in his post-match interviews and also on Twitter.
His social media reaction summed things up for the Saints. Southampton were very good indeed against Bournemouth and are now up to seventh in the Premier League.
There will always perhaps be a limit with the St Mary's outfit. Last season, they were even more impressive than they have been so far this term by this point in the season. But they fell away somewhat and the Champions League, for instance, might be a stretch too far.
You never know, however, and Koeman is clearly building something consistent at Southampton. It was a very good day for his side on Sunday.
