Nottingham Forest fans back Dimitar Evtimov, slam Dougie Freedman on Twitter

The Bulgarian made his league debut for Nottingham Forest yesterday.

Nottingham Forest fans are not impressed with their manager after the club's defeat to Sheffield Wednesday yesterday.

The game saw young Bulgarian Dimitar Evtimov start his first Championship game for the club after an injury to Dorus de Vries.

The 22-year-old was making his first league start for Forest since joining the club from Chavdar Etropole in 2011.

The Bulgarian under-21 international put in a good performance for his first start at this level but would have felt he could have done better with the Wednesday goal.

Fernando Forestieri's strike was speculative and Evtimov should have saved it, but the ball crept underneath him to give Wednesday the lead and, eventually, the win.

After the game the Forest boss Dougie Freedman pulled no punches, telling BBC Nottingham Sport:

The fans however were far more forgiving. The general reaction on Twitter was one of disappointment with the result but also anger at the Scot's comments on the player considering his age and inexperience.
