James McClean reacts on Twitter to Hibernian's win over Rangers

Rangers FC Stands

The West Brom winger has mocked Rangers before and was this time pleased Hibernian beat the Scottish Championship side.

James McClean was pleased to see Hibernian beat Rangers in the Scottish Championship on Sunday afternoon.

Hibs beat the Gers 2-1 to end their previous 100 per cent record in the league.

And West Brom man McClean feels the result could spark a title race 'after all.'

Rangers had won 11/11 with relative ease in the build-up to the Hibernian clash but the hosts' victory now leaves them just five points off the league leaders.

And West Brom's McClean took to Twitter to praise Hibs after the Rangers loss:

McClean has mocked Rangers on social media before and is, naturally, a rather divisive character.

As for his West Brom side, the Baggies lost 3-2 to Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, a defeat that leaves them 11th in the league table - on 14 points.

Next up for West Brom and McClean is a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.

Rangers, meanwhile, host Alloa Athletic in their next Scottish Championship clash, with Hibernian play Dundee United in the Scottish League Cup final. Will there actually be a genuine title race in the second tier this season?
