Harry Kewell says he loved playing with Mark Viduka at Leeds United

The controversial former Leeds player has been speaking about his time at the club.

Times are tough at Leeds United at the moment and the fans are certainly not being treated to the good times they once had when they had the two Australians in attack.

Harry Kewell and Mark Viduka were two of the Premier League's best players during their time and when they left among Leeds' horrific financial meltdown in 2004 and 2004 respectively.

Leeds United fans are no longer partial to Harry Kewell. The former club hero became a villain for his move to Galatasaray - a team rightly vilified by Leeds fans.

Viduka has a more positive reputation at Elland Road.

Today has seen Kewell talking to the media in his Australian homeland and he had some grand praise for his former Leeds United team-mate.

He is quoted by The World Game as stating:

“I loved playing with Vidukes at Leeds; he brought out the best in me.

"He had the power and strength, the ability to take on two centre halves, and his feet were quick and tricky. The majority of my goals came through him."

The pair fell out in the past and their relationship was never truly a warm one.

However, there is no doubt that on the pitch they were a fantastic force and Leeds fans will be hoping for something similar to emerge from their current crop.
