Watford fans thank Spurs on Twitter after another Capoue masterclass

The Watford midfielder, signed from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, performed well once again v West Ham on Saturday afternoon.

Watford fans have once again expressed their gratitude towards Tottenham after beating West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

The Hammers were beaten 2-0 at Vicarage Road on Saturday and Tottenham didn't exactly have anything to do with it - except for the fact they sold Etienne Capoue to Watford over the summer.

And the 27-year-old Frenchman was superb for the Hornets against West Ham.

Capoue is an interest case, of course, for he often looked truly below par at White Hart Lane. The midfielder was only given sporadic chances but the fact remains he was given chances in the first place.

He simply didn't produce at Spurs and few could really have blamed them for selling him - especially if you now look at their midfield: Eric Dier, Dele Alli, Mousa Dembele, Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb.

And yet Capoue has been superb for Watford so far this season. Supporters were delighted with him once again on Saturday afternoon as he delivered a midfield masterclass against West Ham.

Here's what Watford fans had to say on Twitter after the game, including a few thank you messages to Tottenham:
