Talksport pundit Stan Collymore has taken to social networking site Twitter in order to single out Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil for praise following his side’s 3-0 win at Swansea City.
The German international has arguably been in his best form for the Gunners over recent weeks, consistently reaching his top level and making huge contributions to his side’s victories.
After a sluggish opening period which almost saw Swansea take the lead, Arsene Wenger’s men took control after the break and scored three unanswered second-half goals in quite devastating fashion.

As per the table provided by Opta Stats, Ozil’s involvement for the Gunners can be illustrated by how much he contributed in a number of key attacking areas.
Aside from his two assists, the former Real Madrid man created five chances via key passes, made 54 accurate passes and also helped his team out defensively with six ball recoveries.
In a simply superb second 45 minutes, Collymore singled Ozil out for praise and highlighted how in spite of his former tendencies to ‘go missing’, today he showed his class and lead the team to victory.
Ozil done everything wanted from a world class talent who has rightly been criticised at times for “going missing”. He lead his team today.— Stan Collymore (@StanCollymore) October 31, 2015
Ozil’s two assists at the Liberty Stadium take his tally up to an incredible nine for the season, more than any other player across Europe’s top five leagues.
While he may not go charging about the pitch in the manner of a Wayne Rooney or even Alexis Sanchez, Ozil has his own qualities and when it comes to ball retention, there aren’t many better.
The victory extends Arsenal’s winning run to four games and maintains their position of second in the table, level on points with Manchester City, who currently boast a superior goal difference.
Next weekend, Arsene Wenger’s side host rivals Tottenham Hotspur in an eagerly anticipated derby encounter.
