Liverpool fans should never get carried away - but the last time there was such a feel-good factor around Anfield was when the Merseyside outfit almost won the Premier League title in 2013/14.
Of course, the interesting thing to note is that there were big wins against big sides back then, too. Brendan Rodgers guided Liverpool to huge victories over Manchester United, Arsenal and more. And, for that, the Northern Irishman should be given credit and remembered.
Clearly, though, Rodgers lost his way. And, interestingly, when the Reds almost pipped Manchester City to the title, they still couldn't beat Chelsea.
Okay, this isn't the same Chelsea. Jose Mourinho is under serious pressure because his side have started seriously badly. But Liverpool took advantage and are we seeing the start of what Jurgen Klopp can go on to achieve at Anfield?
The above image sums up what's going right on the red half of Merseyside right now. Klopp, with all his positivity and charisma, looks like a father figure to his players. The Liverpool squad are smiling and expressing themselves again.
