Villa Park

The summer signing from Barcelona is still waiting for his first Premier League start.

Aston Villa winger Adama Traore has been in the news this week. The Telegraph reported this week that the 19-year-old was set to become the highest paid player in the Villa team.

The report claimed that the player is currently on £40,000 a week but that would rise to £70,000 after the player plays a certain amount of games.

That is staggering, considering the fact Traore still hasn't started in the Premier League this season.

Traore is a massive talent however and perhaps Villa should hand him a start sooner rather than later.

The club are struggling to succeed in the Premier League and sit at the bottom of the table ahead of their game in the Premier League on Monday night.

He certainly seemed to be well involved in training today. The club shared a photo of Traore in action at Bodymoor Heath taking on his team-mates and looking sharp.

Obviously he will have to catch the eye of Kevin MacDonald, the current caretaker boss at Villa, if he is to have any chance of featuring against Spurs.

But the way things have been going it would be foolish for MacDonald not to consider a gamble.
