Tottenham Hotspur's 54-year record remains intact.
Bayern Munich blew a chance to match a 54-year record held by Tottenham Hotspur last night.
Spurs are the only club in Europe's top five major leagues to ever win their opening 11 league games of the season.
Bayern had appeared destined to equal that last night. They won their first 10, and travelled to 13th placed Eintracht Frankfurt hoping for a victory.
The chance to make history had not passed them by, with the German club bigging up the opportunity via their social media channels.
Yet frustratingly they were held to a 0-0 draw, meaning the accomplishment of Tottenham's 1960/61 side remains for now, unmatched.
And Tottenham did not let the scoreline go unnoticed, taking to Twitter themselves to poke fun at the German club's near miss.
A usually ruthless Bayern side were inefficient, recording just two of their 10 shots on target,, but Spurs will hope they are deadlier in their next match- in the Champions League at home to Arsenal.
