People News: Brevan Howard, C Suisse.

Vinay Pande, a partner at Brevan Howard Asset Management, is leaving the hedge fund firm, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Bloomberg News reports that Pande’s team is also leaving the company, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information is private.

Pande, who oversaw the Brevan Howard Strategic Macro Fund, declined to comment. Nagi Kawkabani, a founding partner at Brevan Howard, did not reply to an e-mail seeking comment.

In the meantime, Bloomberg also reports that Mark Flannery, the former head of U.S. equity research at Credit Suisse, is joining Point72 Asset Management, the family office of billionaire Steven A. Cohen.

Flannery will oversee money managers that trade energy stocks as a sector executive starting on November 2, Point72 said Thursday in a statement. Phil Villhauer, who has been energy sector executive, will become industrials sector executive and keep his role as head of global trading.
