Michael Owen looks ahead to Saturday’s Premier League match between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Saturday’s Premier League clash between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge could end in a draw.

“Both sides are struggling for goals and I can see a tight, close encounter with few chances,” the former Liverpool striker wrote on Betvictor.com.

“Chelsea are unbeaten in their last six PL games with the Reds who themselves have now gone five games without defeat in the PL.

“It could easily be a low-scoring draw but I will play safe and suggest there will be few goals in this fascinating opener to the PL weekend.”

Chelsea are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with just 11 points from 10 matches.

Meanwhile, visiting Liverpool find themselves ninth in the standings with 14 points from 10 games, six points behind fourth-place Manchester United.

Playing at Stamford Bridge will give hosts Chelsea an advantage, but the Reds’ chances of a narrow win cannot be written off.

New Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will have a plan for Saturday afternoon’s match, and the Blues need to be careful how they approach the game.

It is hard to see too many goals in this encounter. A single goal could be the difference between the two teams.

Liverpool have drawn their last three Premier League games - the last time they recorded four consecutive draws was between December 2007 and January 2008.
