Everton v Sunderland predicted lineups and match preview

Everton Goodison Aerial

Everton will be hoping to kick on after ending a testing run of fixtures, while Sunderland will be looking to build on their first win of the season.

To be played on Sunday 1st November 2015 at 13:30. Venue: Goodison Park, Liverpool

Odds: Everton 8/15, Draw 7/2, Sunderland 13/2

After a torrid opening 10 games handed to them on the fixture list, Everton will be fairly satisfied with the start they've made to the season, but now things look a little easier and they will want to kick on from here in order to make their campaign a success.

Wins against the likes of Southampton and Chelsea have shown they are capable of pushing towards the top end of the table, but they really need to win games like this weekend's meeting with Sunderland, who come into the game on the back of their only Premier League victory of the campaign to date.

The Black Cats will be heading to Goodison Park with a spring in their step after their first win of the league season lifted them off the foot of the table, plus they didn't have to play 120 minutes in the League Cup in midweek, unlike their opponents.

In terms of selection, Roberto Martinez has said that he will stick with under-fire goalkeeper Tim Howard, despite Joel Robles impressing in their League Cup win, as he sweats over a couple of first team players' fitness - but Phil Jagielka remains sidelined until December.

Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce could have a couple of problems at the back as he looks for his side to keep back-to-back clean sheets.
