Charlie Nicholas jokes about 'brilliant' Slaven Bilic

The pundit has been discussing the West Ham head coach.

Charlie Nicholas has joked that West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic looks like he's had a night out everyone time he turns up at grounds, according to Sky Sports.

However, the pundit has picked the Croat as his manager of the Premier League campaign so far, saying he has been 'brilliant' at Upton Park.

Bilic has guided West Ham to wins at Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool, while also beating Chelsea at home last weekend, during his short time in the capital so far.

Nicholas told Sky Sports: "Looks like he's had a night out when he turns up at grounds but he's got a clear direction of what he wants from his side. He's got awareness, style and uses his options. He's been brilliant."

No one can blame any pundit for heaping praise on Bilic for the job he has done to date. West Ham fans will hope that praise remains constant come the end of the season.

It's also a welcome change from the many pundits who wrongly believes the Hammers made a bad choice parting company with Sam Allardyce. Conveniently, those making the claims are on good terms with Big Sam!

Bilic has, though, naturally created pressure for himself after his great start to life at West Ham.

People will now look to the east London side with expectation and that means a need to consistently deliver.
