West Ham United forward Victor Moses shock omission from Nigeria squad

The winger has been left out by Sunday Oliseh.

West Ham United fans have certainly been impressed with what they have seen from Chelsea loanee Victor Moses since he headed to the club on Transfer Deadline day.

The former Wigan Athletic attacker has been in good form for the high-flying Hammers - scoring once in five Premier League appearances under Slaven Bilic.

Despite this form he has been surprisingly left out of the Nigeria squad by Sunday Oliseh for an upcoming two-legged qualifier tie v Swaziland for the World Cup in Russia in 2018.

Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi is present whilst former Newcastle United striker Obafemi Martins has received a shock call-up but Moses - considered one of his countries best players - has been left out of the squad.

Moses was due to play for the Super Eagles in recent friendly games against Congo DR and Cameroon but pulled out of proceedings and later went on to Twitter to explain why he was not playing. He revealed he was not fully fit, amid rumours of a lack of commitment for the national team.

However it would appear that Nigeria were not prepared to bring him back into the fold immediately.
