The Gunners have been rocked by injuries to Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain over the past few days, leaving them fairly short on quality attacking options.
Marseille frontman Batshuayi has hit the headlines this season after scoring eight goals in ten Ligue 1 starts, topping the charts ahead of Paris Saint-Germain duo Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani.
With Arsenal in need of added firepower, The Sun claim boss Arsene Wenger is ready to broker a deal for the striker as he seeks cover for England international Walcott.
"Marseille striker Batshuayi, 22, is the top scorer in Ligue 1 and the Gunners are keen to add him as cover for injury-prone Theo Walcott," the report reads.
The report goes on to say that Anderlecht’s 17-year-old star Leya Iseka is also a target for the Gunners as they continue to look for Europe’s next best talent.
The main attraction, however, is recently capped Belgium international Batshuayi and Arsenal fans can be excited by how much potential the youngster possesses.
Having scored 39 goals in 97 league games at former club Standard Liege, he already has 17 Ligue 1 goals to his name in 37 appearances - which is comparable with the very best scorers in France.
Predominately a centre-forward, Batshuayi is a very strong finisher, although he is also capable of producing plenty of work outside the penalty area with key passing and successful dribbling particular highlights.
