The West Ham senior side were gearing up to face Watford during training on Thursday afternoon.
Indeed, playing the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea has proven far more convenient for Slaven Bilic's side so far this season. And they may prefer to face another club traditionally described as 'big' rather than the Hornets - who could be seen as underdogs.
Then again, who can blame the West Ham side for being so happy when you look at their position in the league standings?
Spirits are clearly high within the Upton Park outfit's senior squad and Dimitri Payet was mobbed by the group during training on Thursday. There were plenty of the usual faces on show and, even if the Hammers end up losing to Watford, they will still have had a fantastic season to date.
Such is the atmosphere at the Boleyn Ground, any setbacks will likely be forgotten quickly. The club's co-owners appear to be aiming high but there is, of course, a need to stay grounded.
That doesn't mean, though, that West Ham's players can't enjoy the moment. And they certainly appear to be doing so...
