The Norwegian has been discussing his star striker.
When it comes to hitting the back of the net, Griffiths is by far Celtic's most potent threat.
But the Norwegian says the 25-year-old has a tendency to drop off after scoring - something he wants the striker to eradicate from his game in order to keep pushing on.
RD on @Leighgriff09 :Confidence, good training, professional on and off the pitch are important things. We know he has skills.— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) October 28, 2015
RD: Today he scored one but I want him to be even sharper after he scores.— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) October 28, 2015
RD: Sometimes he drops off after he gets that goal and hopefully in the near future we’ll go for two and three and four in these games.— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) October 28, 2015
Deila will need to be that demanding of his players for the rest of the season as nothing less than perfection will be enough to make it a successful campaign on all fronts.
And, in the Europa League, Celtic's tricky situation needs little documenting.
Later in the campaign, Carlton Cole should be able to help Griffiths out more, while there is also Nadir Ciftci. But Griffiths is undeniably Celtic's leading man and, often, bosses put more pressure on those capable of delivering the most - rather than those who aren't doing as well.
