Sheffield Wednesday take on Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
Lopez has been out of action since the middle of October, after picking up a problem during training with the Owls.
However, it seems that the Spaniard could be in-line to come back into contention shortly, with Carvalhal hinting that he could play a part against Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Lopez’s return to Wednesday's ranks will bolster their attacking options even further, with Carvalhal boasting a wealth of players to choose from at present.
The Owls have one of the biggest squads in the Championship, and the competition for places is fierce.
It means that Lopez’s chances of breaking into Wednesday’s first-team as soon as he makes it back to fitness look slim, because of the Yorkshire side’s stunning recent form.
The Owls are unbeaten in their last nine matches in all competitions, and Carvalhal faces a big selection dilemma over who to pick in his team against Forest, with so many of the club’s players in good form.
