Brian Deane reacts on Twitter to Leeds United's loss to Blackburn

Leeds United East Stand

Brian Deane has given his view on Leeds United's poor form.

Former Leeds United striker Brian Deane has taken to Twitter to comment on his old club's struggles.

Deane played for Leeds on more than 150 occasions over two spells in the 1990s and briefly in the mid-2000s, and is now retired.

He rarely comments on his old club, but felt the need to express his sadness at watching their current plight.

Last night they lost 2-0 at Elland Road to a Blackburn Rovers side which came into the game below them in the table, and rarely offered an attacking threat.

Deane said that he found it a tough watch, and urged for unity if they are to move forward.

The Whites have not won a home game in eight months, and Steve Evans has just two points from his opening three matches in charge since being appointed as Uwe Rosler's replacement.

Massimo Cellino has a fearsome reputation for sacking managers, and whatever his temptation after last night, he needs to give Evans time to get it right, and bring in players capable of helping the club climb up the table.
