Rangers fans react on Twitter after Ryan Hardie signs extended Ibrox contract

Rangers youngster Ryan Hardie has signed a new contract with the club.

Rangers have confirmed on their official website that they have agreed a new two-year contract extension with teenage forward Ryan Hardie.

Hardie, 18, has come up through the ranks at Ibrox, and even broke in to the Rangers first team towards the end of last season under Stuart McCall.

With two goals in five games, Hardie proved that he has plenty of potential, but he has been more of a bit-part player under new boss Mark Warburton this term.

Still, the teenager is tipped to have a bright future ahead of him, and with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, Rangers have taken the step to extend his contract until 2018.

After Rangers confirmed the deal, fans took to Twitter in order to react, and it's fair to say that those supporters are delighted with the contract extension.

Many fans believe that Hardie has a huge future ahead of him, and that Rangers have made a sensible move to tie him to the club for the coming years.

Other suggest that Hardie deserves a chance in the first team again this season, having impressed on a regular basis for the youth team.
