Arsenal handed debuts to promising talents, but it wasn't a game for them to remember fondly.
Glen Kamara and Alex Iwobi both made their first senior starts for Arsenal, picked in the Capital One Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
Iwobi is the nephew of Nigerian legend Jay-Jay Okocha, and scored for the Gunners in pre-season, but struggled to make an impact against the Owls.
Kamara is a Finland under-21 international, and both could have made their debuts in the previous round had Arsenal not been drawn against North London rivals Tottenham.
They were joined by Ismael Bennacer, who came on as a substitute for Theo Walcott in the first half - who had come on for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain just minutes earlier.
Polish youngster Krystian Bielik also came on in the second half to make his first senior appearance.

Arsenal lost the game 3-0 to Sheffield Wednesday, and the evening will not be one to look back on fondly for any of the Gunners.
It will be one for the young players to learn from, but none of the quartet of debutants showed they were ready to make an impact, and it may be a while until manager Arsene Wenger calls on them again.
