Payet and Lanzini have been two of West Ham's most important attacking weapons this season, with their creativity and goalscoring ability proving to be a huge threat.
"When you look at Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini, they're playing like [Eden] Hazard and Willian were last season," he said.
"You look at how they play, and I think Lanzini has been fantastic. Payet has been the one getting all the praise, and rightly so, but this boy [Lanzini], he looks thin and lean, but he works hard. He gets in between defenders and midfielders and technically he is superb.
"He's got terrific skill and if it's the West Ham way that the fans like, they have certainly given them that."
Lanzini and Payet were both snapped up by West Ham during the summer transfer window, and it has taken them no time in which to settle at Upton Park.
They have both broken into the Hammers' preferred starting line-up and taken the Premier League by storm, with defences simply unable to cope with their talents.
Their fine form has been a major contributing factor to West Ham's flying start to the season, where they have become one of the most feared sides in the country.
The Hammers are currently sat in third place in the Premier League table, and only Manchester City have scored more goals than them to date.
