Chelsea Defence v Stoke

A Blues fan was left red faced after promising to get tattoo of Stoke City striker’s face if Jose Mourinho’s side lost to the Potters.

One Chelsea fan was left ruing a promise he made on Twitter ahead of Stoke City’s League Cup clash with Chelsea to get a tattoo of Peter Crouch’s face on his bottom if the Potters managed to beat the Blues.

Worse still, the supporter in question later found himself trolled by none other than Crouch himself, who called on the individual to make good on his pre-match promise.

Chelsea exited the Capital One Cup on penalties, following a 1-1 draw, after Jack Butland saved superbly from Eden Hazard.

The tide had previously appeared to be turning in the Pensioners’ favour after Loic Remy cancelled out Jonathan Walters’ second half strike with a 91st minute leveller.

Phil Bardsley’s dismissal in extra-time gave the Blues an even bigger advantage, but the Potters held on to take the game to spot kicks.

Ahead of kick-off, @Smiggy had taken to Twitter to issue the following pledge of sorts:

But after 120 minutes of football he was left red-faced, with Crouch only too happy to stick the knife in the morning after the night before.

The result also means that Chelsea have won just one of their last seven games in all competitions, with the pressure mounting on Jose Mourinho.

Still, things could be a lot worse for the Special One – he could have to tattoo Peter Crouch’s face on his posterior!
