Leicester City went out of the Capital One Cup to Hull City on penalties on Tuesday night.
The youngster didn't looked overawed by the occasion, but he was unable to stop Leicester from crashing to a defeat on penalties against their Championship opponents.
The loss did put a dampener on Chilwell's first senior start, but the defender was still pleased to have been given the opportunity.
Gutted about the result but proud night making my full debut, thanks for the messages— Ben Chilwell (@BenChilwell) October 27, 2015
Leicester's match against Hull was a closely fought one, which could have gone either way, with both sides having opportunities to win it in normal time.
Leicester had taken the lead in the 100th minute when Riyad Mahrez slotted home the rebound from a Jamie Vardy shot, but they were pegged back when Abel Hernandez netted.
Hull then went on to score all of their penalties, with Mahrez missing for Leicester, as Steve Bruce's side booked their place in the quarter-finals.
