Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has told Sky Sports' Goals on Sunday that Aston Villa winger Jack Grealish is one of his favourite players to watch.
Grealish has impressed since breaking through at Villa, and now plays a crucial role for the Midlands side.
The 20-year-old has been tasked with being one of Villa's main creative outlets, and Wilshere says he loves watching the youngster in action.
"They have great quality. Jack Grealish is one of my favourite players to watch," Wilshere said. "He has great balance, and I like the way he runs with the ball. I'm glad that he has chosen to play for England."
Grealish's improvement as a player owes much to Tim Sherwood giving him a chance during his time as Villa boss.
Grealish had struggled for appearances under Paul Lambert, but Sherwood threw him straight in at the deep end, and the trickster has shown that he is capable of playing at Premier League level, despite his tender years.
The Republic of Ireland youth international's good form was not enough to keep Sherwood in his job though, with Villa sacking the 46-year-old at the start of this week.
Grealish has already expressed his disappointment at this decision on social media site Twitter, and he will be hoping that whoever takes over at Villa Park has as much faith in him as Sherwood did.
