Deila explains message to Celtic players after Nadir Ciftci's training ground bust-up

Ronny Deila has admitted that Emilio Izaguirre and Nadir Ciftci had a training ground bust-up.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has told the club's official Twitter account that Emilio Izaguirre has required stitches after a bust-up with Nadir Ciftci.

The Bhoys manager has come under pressure this season, especially due to Celtic's continued woes in European games under the Norwegian.

Failing to qualify for the Champions League in successive seasons is bad enough for Deila, but after last week's 3-1 defeat to Molde, Celtic now face elimination from the Europa League too.

Sunday's 5-0 win over Dundee United eased some of the pressure on Deila, but now he has another problem to deal with, following a training ground bust-up.

Deila has told the club's official Twitter account that left back Emilio Izaguirre has required stitches following an altercation with summer signing Nadir Ciftci, though he also claimed that the issue has been resolved in-house an will go no further.

The Celtic boss added that his message to the squad is still to give 100% in training sessions, but that striker Ciftci simply went too far with Izaguirre - though the Honduran defender will be available to face Hearts in the Scottish League Cup on Wednesday.
