Slaven Bilic says he was happiest after West Ham defeated Crystal Palace

West Ham have pulled off a number of impressive results this season, with the victory over Crystal Palace pleasing Bilic.

The Hammers currently sit third in the Premier League table after an incredible victory over Chelsea, and Slaven Bilic has told the official West Ham website which result this season made him the happiest.

Bilic said: “Of all the wins, after the Crystal Palace game I was the happiest.”

Considering some of the results that the Hammers have secured this season, it is a surprise that Bilic names the victory over Palace as his favourite.

They have defeated Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City away from home, and now have beaten Chelsea at the Boleyn Ground, but the 3-1 win at Palace was important for Bilic as it kept the Hammers in the top places despite a tough game.

Palace had brought the game back to 1-1 during the first-half, and it required two late goals to secure the three points, thanks to Manuel Lanzini and Dimitri Payet.

The victory meant that West Ham had defeated one of their fellow high flying teams, and this sort of confidence boost would have been vital to keep spirits high in the changing room.

West Ham are enjoying the best season of all Premier League clubs given their relative size in relation to the other clubs at the top of the league, and whilst the victory over Palace is Bilic’s happiest at the moment, he is sure to have a number of other happy moments if the East London side keep up their great form.
