Tommaso Bianchi is back in action for Leeds United.

Tommaso Bianchi is making a return to action, starting for Leeds United's under-21 side.

The Italian starts in Monday afternoon's fixture against Bolton Wanderers, which kicks off at 1.15pm at Thorp Arch.

Leeds United's official twitter feed confirmed the team news. Here is a look at how the Whites line-up:

Starters: Peacock-Farrell, Purver, Skelton, Vann, Denton, Sloth, Phillips, Bianchi, Stokes, Mulhern, Doukara.

Substitutes: Grimes, Lyman, Parkin, McDaid.

Bianchi had been out of action with a knee injury and has not played a single minute in 2015/16, although did feature in the pre-season.

His comeback will give new boss Steve Evans further options in midfield, where he is spoilt for choice with Luke Murphy, Lewis Cook, Alex Mowatt, Tom Adeyemi and Kalvin Phillips.

Phillips starts alongside him this afternoon for the under-21s, with last summer's signings Casper Sloth and Souleymane Doukara also featuring.

This Thursday's game against Blackburn could come too soon for Bianchi to come into contention for the first team reckoning, but next Tuesday against Cardiff may be more likely if he comes through this afternoon unscathed.
