The Leeds boss was animated on the touchline, despite the 'beard' doing the job from the spot.
There were two photos that summed up Leeds United's trip to Bolton on Saturday afternoon.
The first, above, was of Mirco Antenucci celebrating. The Italian netted a penalty and represented what was good about the Whites on Saturday.
They seem to be experiencing somewhat of a resurgence under new boss Steve Evans. Results haven't shown it yet but energy levels have risen and two improved performances haven't been rewarded as well as they could have been in terms of points.
The other image that summed Saturday up for Leeds, though, shows United still have a way to go before they can be considered to have hit form.
Indeed, get used to seeing Evans barking orders from the touchline and telling his Leeds players exactly what to do and where to go.
The 52-year-old was frustrated after the game, considering the Bolton draw two points dropped rather than a point gained.
And we will see more and more pictures of the Leeds boss looking animated until things start to click at Elland Road. Of course, then we'll probably see even more pictures - but of Evans doing wild celebrations on the touchline...
