The former Spurs chairman was not overly impressed by Kane's goal haul.
Tottenham Hotspur may have gone down to an early goal against Bournemouth on the South Coast this afternoon but that did not stop them coming back with a vengeance to thump their opponents in the Premier League.
They won the game comfortably, 5-1, after a rampant display.
However they were helped out by a fairly atrocious performance from Polish goalkeeper Artur Boruc.
Mauricio Pochettino clearly remembered the weaknesses of his former goalkeeper at Southampton and played on them.
Harry Kane certainly benefited. The England international helped himself to a hat-trick of goals in the game - putting him on six goals in 18 appearances for club and country this season.
Of course Spurs fans were likely overjoyed to see their talismanic striker hit the back of the net three times but they got a word of caution from a former Tottenham chairman.
Lord Sugar sent out this tweet:
They say Harry Kane is back . I hope so but my old grandmother could have scored against that goalie https://t.co/jnkXJaRamR— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) October 25, 2015
That is certainly a fair point. The striker did not have to work hard for his goals but the goals were his first in a month and that must come as a big boost to his self confidence going forward into the rest of the season.
So whilst Sugar is right to be skeptical this might also be a catalyst for the Tottenham striker.
