Tottenham went into the season relying on Harry Kane to shoulder much of their goalscoring burden and the gamble hasn't paid off so far.
Kane has scored just once in his first 13 appearances for Spurs this season and Redknapp feels their lack of cover up front is a huge worry.
"Mauricio has done a good job with a young squad but his problem is he has only one real striker," he is quoted as saying by the Star.
Kane's confidence visibly seems to have been knocked by his lack of goals, with his reliable finishing not on display thus far this term.
The England international has been guilty of missing a number of presentable opportunities and, even though his link-up play within matches has been impressive, he is still coming under increasing pressure to start hitting the back of the net.
Tottenham's lack of goals this season has harmed their chances but they have shown signs of improvement.
The Lilywhites are unbeaten in their last eight matches - they just need to start turning draws into victories if they are to break into the top four.
