Sunderland and Newcastle locks horns in the Tyne-Wear derby today.
The Tyne-Wear is upon us once again, as Sunderland host their fierce rivals Newcastle United at the Stadium of Light.
The Black Cats have made a terrible start to the season with no wins to their name, and new boss Sam Allardyce - formerly manager of Newcastle - will be desperate to claim their first win today.
Sunderland have won the last five meetings between the two clubs, and Allardyce has picked an attacking line-up to go for another victory.
Winger Adam Johnson and Jeremain Jens, who is returning from suspension, will support Ola Toivonen and Steven Fletcher in attack, whilst Tottenham loanee DeAndre Yedlin continues at full back.
Meanwhile, Newcastle had also suffered a dismal start to the campaign but showed that they can do with a 6-2 win over Norwich City last weekend.
Four goals from Georginio Wijnaldum in that game has given the Magpies a real boost as manager Steve McClaren gears up for his first Tyne-Wear derby, with Newcastle searching for their first win over Sunderland since 2011.
McClaren has picked an unchanged side from the one which thrashed Norwich, as Aleksandar Mitrovic and Ayoze Perez continue their promising partnership in attack, and will be supported by Moussa Sissoko and Wijnaldum from out wide.
