Celtic starting XI: Gordon, Ambrose, Boyata, Simunovic, Tierney, Brown, Johansen, Mackay-Steven, Commons, Armstrong, Griffiths
Dundee United starting XI: Zwick, Dillon, Souttar, Rankin, McKay, McGowan, Telfer, Durnan, Fraser, Kuhl, Bodul
Celtic welcome Dundee United to Celtic Park this afternoon in a match Ronny Deila’s side will be desperate to win to pull further away from their nearest title challengers Aberdeen.
The Bhoys are currently one point clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership but they have a game in hand and victory this afternoon will restore a four-point gap.
On paper this should be a walk in the park for Celtic with Dundee United currently bottom of the table having picked up just five points from a possible 33 but Deila will know better than to take anything for granted.
Celtic lost 3-1 away to Molde in the Europa League on Thursday and Deila is in need of a good victory and a fine team performance to put that match out of the supporters’ minds.
Celtic will have to do without new signing Carlton Cole due to a lack of match fitness but they have enough options to secure the win with relative ease.
