Ex-Spurs man Yannick Kamanan claims Stoke City's Peter Crouch is technically gifted

Zlatan Crouch

He's got a great touch for a big man and is amost as good as Zlatan Ibrahimovic... apparently.

People love comparing players with other players – it's helpful when you can't really think of anything else to say about them.

We're talking about the likes of Anthony Martial being mentioned in the same breath as Thierry Henry or comparing Lionel Messi to Diego Maradona – however, some comparisons are a little more baffling.

Like when former Tottenham Hotspur forward and truly obscure 2000s pub quiz answer Yannick Kamanan incredibly compared Stoke City's Peter Crouch to.... Zlatan Ibrahimovic!

Yep, we're a bit confused about this as well but Kamanan who very (and we mean very) briefly played with Crouch back at the turn of the 2000s is adamant.

Speaking to French website SoFoot, Kamanan spoke about just how technically brilliant the giant striker was: "Peter, contrary to what people think, isn't just a player who can head the ball.

"He's actually very, very technical. When you talk about a combination of size and ball control, for me, there's only Zlatan who's better than him."

Oh my! Well I guess it turns out that Crouchy really has got a good touch for a big man... and we're hoping he shows us exactly what he's capable of while he's still at Stoke City.
