The Leeds boss has already made an impression on the 23-year-old midfielder.
Evans said he told Adeyemi he'll be playing in League Two as a sitting midfielder and that he has a big future going box to box.
But that didn't put the young midfielder off, who was actually very pleased to hear the manager's comments.
He told LUTV: "What he said to me, he said in that game that he wanted me to play a more box-to-box role. That's something I've been more used to doing in the past so I was happy to do that!
"Any time a new manager comes in, everyone's keen to impress straightaway."
It was Uwe Rosler who brought Adeyemi to Elland Road and the Leeds midfielder initially impressed at the start of the current season.
However, it may well be Evans who takes the 23-year-old's game up a level.
The Whites travel to Bolton on Saturday afternoon, with it perhaps being their best possible opportunity to pick up all three points in quite some time - Neil Lennon's men are rooted to the bottom of the Championship table.
Leeds fans will have to wait when it comes to their first home win of the season even if they leave Bolton with a victory, however, and their next clash at Elland Road comes against Blackburn Rovers.
