Stephen Hunt slams Kris Commons on Twitter, compares him to Ronaldo

The Ipswich Town midfielder wasn't impressed by the Celtic man's antics on Thursday night.

Usually, being compared to Cristiano Ronaldo is the highest compliment for a professional footballer.

Jose Mourinho compared Eden Hazard to Ronaldo earlier this year, while every next wonderkid is either the 'next Lionel Messi' or the 'next Ronaldo.'

For Celtic midfielder Kris Commons, however, there was a comparison of a different kind made on Thursday night.

Indeed, Ipswich midfielder Stephen Hunt took to Twitter after Celtic's 3-1 loss to Molde in the Europa League and slammed Commons.

The 32-year-old reacted angrily after being substituted in the second half, taking his frustration out on the Celtic backroom staff and shouting aggressively at assistant boss John Collins.

Ipswich man Hunt, though, feels Commons should have simply gone off and sat down - as he isn't Ronaldo!

Celtic's 3-1 defeat has certainly increased the pressure on boss Ronny Deila, although you couldn't tell from the Norwegian's post-match press conference.

Deila stood firm when questioned about Commons and simply promised a firm response in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday. Plenty of Bhoys fans, though, were simply disgusted with the level of their side's performance.
