Report: Monaco looking to sell Stephan El Shaarawy to West Ham despite just signing him

El Shaarawy And Robinho

The Italian international would be a massive coup for West Ham.

West Ham United are a team on the up. They are playing attractive football again under the guidance of Slaven Bilic, bringing in top talent and moving to a massive new stadium with their upcoming switch to the Olympic Stadium.

Now it is rumoured that they might be ready to sign a big name.

According to reports in France it would appear that West Ham are keen on signing the Italian international Stephan El Shaarwy.

SoFoot are reporting that The Hammers are keen on signing the player and that Monaco are willing to sell him for a fee in the region of €30 million (£21.6 million).

It comes after El Shaarawy effectively became a Monaco player last night. He has now played 15 times for the Ligue 1 side this season meaning the club are obliged to make their loan deal for the player permanent from AC Milan. That deal will be worth around €17 million (£12.2 million) but instead of keeping the Italian, who has got over his injury problems to thrive at the club, their chairman Dimitriy Rybolovlev is keen on turning a swift profit on the player with links between him and the club helping West Ham broker a deal.

The 22-year-old has 15 caps for Italy and is considered a huge prospect although injury problems have recently waylaid his progress. Regardless he would be a massive coup for West Ham if they could broker a deal.
