Harry Redknapp predicts Manchester United v Manchester City

Manchester United and Manchester City will face each other in the Premier League on Sunday.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has predicted in The London Evening Standard that Manchester United will win against Manchester City this weekend.

United will take on City at Old Trafford in the Manchester derby on Sunday afternoon, and former Tottenham and West Ham United boss Redknapp believes that Louis van Gaal’s side will win the Premier League encounter.

“United may have had to travel to Moscow for last night’s Champions League game but they could not have a better time to play City with Sergio Aguero and David Silva injured,” the Englishman wrote in The London Evening Standard.

“Those two transform the way City play and United will not have to worry so much about keeping a clean sheet now. I’d make United favourites at home to beat City and set the cat among the pigeons in the title race.”

Could Harry Redknapp’s prediction come true?

Both United and City are in good form at the moment, and Sunday’s match promises to be a fiercely competitive one.

Van Gaal’s side will have home advantage, and the players will be motivated by the fans’ support at Old Trafford.

The first goal will be crucial. If United score early, then there is a very good chance that they will pick up all three points from the encounter.

If City find the target first, then the pressure will increase on United. That is not going to be helpful for the Red Devils, and they may eventually have to settle for a draw.
