Celtic fans react on Twitter to Dedryck Boyata's performance v Molde

Celtic fell to a 3-1 defeat to Molde in the Europa League on Thursday.

Celtic’s poor Europa League campaign carried on in it’s current style on Thursday night, when a newly appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer led his Molde team to a 3-1 win over Ronny Deila’s men.

The result leaves Celtic propping up Group A, with just two points from three games, but the result was no more than the Bhoys deserved, considering their poor performance.

Ola Kamara and Vegard Forren gave the Norwegian side a 2-0 lead inside the opening 18 minutes, before Kris Commons gave Celtic a glimmer of hope on the 54th minute by finishing a lovely chip over the Molde keeper.

However, the two goal gap was brought back less than 60 seconds later, as Mohammed Elyounoussi capitalised on some shocking defending to place the ball past Craig Gordon in the Celtic goal.

The quality of Celtic’s defending was the real low point of the game for the Bhoys, with all the back four and keeper Gordon struggling to impose themselves on the game.

And there was one player who performed worse than all the others, Dedryck Boyata. The summer signing was at fault for the opening Molde goal, and the performance was not which had fans praising him at the end of the game.

In fact, when the fixture finished, fans took to Twitter to express their disappointed at Boyata's game, with some calling for him to be dropped from Deila’s starting XI entirely.
