Byram, Wood and Botaka will be key for Leeds against Bolton

Leeds United and Bolton Wanderers go head-to-head this weekend.

Leeds United earned a point when they came up against Fulham in what was Steve Evans’ first match in charge earlier this week, but they will want to go one better against the Championship’s bottom club Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

Here we take a look at three Leeds players who are likely to be key this weekend:

Sam Byram

Leeds right-back Sam Byram was back doing what he does best on Wednesday, and after his impressive showing against Fulham he seems a shoo-in to start against Bolton.

If he plays to his full potential Byram could well make the difference, suggesting Gaetano Berardi is unlikely to feature much when Charlie Taylor is back on the opposite flank.

Chris Wood

For now Chris Wood remains Leeds’ most likely goal-scorer and against the league’s bottom club the New Zealand international will be hoping to fill his boots.

It will not be as easy as that but Evans will know three points are vital and will make both Wood and strike partner Mirco Antenucci fully aware of that.

Jordan Botaka

Evans loves wingers and Jordan Botaka is Leeds’ most exciting. While the DR Congo international did not start against Fulham there is every chance he will once he has had more time to impress his new boss in training.
